Werther's Original Cheat Caramel Sauce

The time it takes to make: Approx. 5-8 minutes

Ingredients:

-18 individual Werthers Original candies

-50g Double Cream

Method:

-Add the werthers original candies over a bain-marie and stir until melted.

-Once melted add in the cream. It may appear to harden but keep stirring as the heat from the bain-marie will liquefy the mix once again. That’s the caramel sauce done!

Either use it right away or store it in a heatproof jar for use later on. If you have stored it for later use, all you have to do to have a runny caramel (as it will harden over time in the jar as it cools) is to submerge the jar in a bowl of boiled water until the caramel turns runny. It’s then ready for use. I recommend putting this cheats caramel sauce in brownies or a Banoffee pie.
